Ramdara temple is an ancient temple located in Loni Kalbhor, just outside the bustling city of Pune. This temple was rebuilt in 1970s by Dhundhi Baba and is mainly dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati but is also famous for the Ram, Sita and Laxman idols and hence the name Ramdara.

Murtis of Lord Hanuman, Dattatreya, Lakshmi, and Krishna are placed here. Additionally, explore the exquisitely crafted sculptures depicting Surdas, Meera, Ramadas, Tukaram, Sant Gyaneshwar, Swami Vivekananda, Nanakji (the spiritual guru of Sikhs), and Sage Vashisht adorning the temple’s other walls.

Ramdara Temple Timings

The temple is open from 5 AM to 6 PM daily.
Entry fees are minimal: INR 10 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners.
Comfortable footwear is recommended, as there are steps leading down to the temple.
The best time to visit is during the monsoon season when the surrounding hills are lush green and the lake overflows.

How to reach Ramdara Temple

By Car:

From Pune: Head southeast on the Pune-Solapur Highway. After crossing Loni Kalbhor, continue on the highway until you reach the Uruli Kanchan area. Look for signage indicating directions to Ramdara Temple.
From Solapur: Drive northwest on the Pune-Solapur Highway. As you approach Pune, watch for signs or directions to Ramdara Temple, which is near Uruli Kanchan.

By Public Transport:

Bus: There are buses available from Pune or nearby towns to Uruli Kanchan. From there, you may need to take a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Ramdara Temple.
Train: Nearest railway station to Ramdara temple is Phursungi railway station. It is about 3.25 kilometers away from the temple. The nearest major railway station is Pune Junction. From Pune, you can hire a taxi or use local transportation to reach Uruli Kanchan, and then proceed to Ramdara Temple.
